History of Dainik Asam Newspaper :

This newspaper is now published under The Assam Tribune Publishers and its main editor was Prafulla Govinda Baruah. Basically, Dainik Asam is the Assamese language daily Newspaper is popular among Assamese people. It’s headquarter is located at Guwahati, Assam.  There is two sister newspaper of Dainik Asam are available, named as The Assam Tribune and Asam Bani. It also has an online version that is available on the internet.  This version was unveiled on 1 January 2012.  People can read and follow the daily news update of Dainik Asam newspaper on dainik.assamtribune.com

Radhika Mohan Bhagawati was a Guwahati-based journalist. He had started his career as a journalist in the year of  1958 as a sub-editor in the now-defunct Assamese language daily newspaper Natun Asamiya and after this rose to be its editor. After the newspaper closed down, Bhagawati edited other newspapers like Tinidiniya Batori, Ajir Asam, and Sentinel before joining the newspaper Dainik Asam, the oldest Assamese daily newspaper published from here. Way back in the year 1960 he was also editor of the Ramdhenu, a well-known Assamese language magazine that had shaped the literary careers of one whole generation of Assamese writers.
